It has been a joy working at Center ISD for the past twelve years. As part of the first class of students to attend F.L. Moffett Primary, I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal.
I began my teaching career as a 3rd grade teacher at Center Elementary, teaching both self-contained and team teaching classrooms. The majority of my time at CES, I taught Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. While working on my master’s degree, I served as the Reading Specialist for CES, where I assisted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students with reading intervention, organized the Reading Cafe Program, and assisted teachers with instructional planning. I graduated with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership (K-12) at Stephen F. Austin State University in December of 2018, which gave me the tools I needed to serve as Center Elementary’s Assistant Principal for the 2019-2020 school year.
I have two amazing children that keep me on my toes. Lilly, my strong willed, independent, vivacious daughter who will begin her journey as CMS cheerleader this year and Gavin, an inquisitive, funny and extremely social 6 year old who will be in first grade at F.L Moffett. We are active members of Mt. Calvary Full Gospel Church in Shelbyville. I enjoy spending time at the lake with family and friends, getting lost in a new book, and going on family adventures every chance I get.
As a lifelong resident of Shelby County I have been blessed to be part of such a caring and giving community. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to give back to the students, staff and community at Center ISD in my role as Assistant Principal.
